A hands-on introduction to 2D drafting and documentation in AutoCAD.
AutoCAD workspace, drawing units, templates, navigation and precision input.
Core 2D drawing tools, object snaps, modify commands and selection techniques.
Organising drawings with layers, creating/inserting blocks, and applying hatch patterns.
Text styles, dimension styles, multileaders and annotative scaling.
Paper space layouts, viewports, page setup and producing print-ready output.
No prior CAD experience required. Basic computer literacy (file management, mouse/keyboard use) is assumed.
Monday – Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, with a one-hour lunch break. Tea and coffee provided. Laptops with AutoCAD pre-installed are provided for the duration of the course.
